Architectural Ironmongery formerly known as 'Arnold & Oakley' started its life as a small joinery firm in 1971. They were based in Ross-On-Wye, Herefordshire and by 1980 they had opened a small ironmongery shop. In 1985 the joinery side stopped and they concentrated on the mail order side of the ironmongery business.

In 2003 they changed their name to 'Architectural Ironmongery' and in 2010 they were taken over by Advance Joinery Ltd and re-located to a new, larger showroom in Pontrilas, Herefordshire, where they are still trading now.
