Arnold and Oakley began as a small joinery firm in 1971.
The Architectural Ironmongery outlet was opened in 1980 in Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire, and since 1985 we have been concentrating on the mail order side of the business.
Formerly known as Arnold and Oakley on September 1st 2003 we began trading as 'Architectural Ironmongery'
We supply an extensive range of architectural ironmongery, which varies from the less expensive, imported products, to high-class, handmade designs.
Our aim is to provide a fast efficient service, with competitive prices, providing expert help whenever necessary. Our knowledge of the products we sell and how they are used, we feel, giving us the edge over our competitors.

Where it all began in 1971 in Ross-on-Wye, an old building which had an extension added in1846! Believed to have been a stable for british rail horses at one time.

door-handles, hinges, door-knobs, door-knockers, letter-plates, bolts, studs, window-stays, fastenings, finger plates, coat-hooks, house name plaques, electrical light fittings and sockets, bell-pushes and pulls.
We also stock a wide variety oflocks,made by reputable companies such as Chubb and Union, in a variety of styles.
We are also stockist for heritage paints Little Greene, Sanderson and Morris & Co.
What sets us apart from the other hardware and architectural ironmongers shops : We are always happy to give specialist advice to our customers when deciding which product would be most suitable. We all have the experience and knowledge gained from working as joiners, to make sure that our customers are purchasing the right product.

Hi - the order I placed on 2.7.07 arrived within 24hours and I am absolutely delighted. Furthermore, I am attaching a photo of the handles which have been on my door ( and withstood the Northern Climate ) for 42years, and you will see that your ones are identical - I can't believe my luck at obtaining exact replacements.
Unfortunately, at the moment, the door is being restored to its former look so the pictures included do not show your product in full use. I will send you another picture of the completed item should you wish to see it or use the photo on any of your advertising.
